मुहावरे (Idioms) ऐसे वाक्यांश होते हैं जिनका वास्तविक अर्थ उनके शब्दों के शाब्दिक (literal) अर्थ से बिल्कुल अलग होता है। SSC परीक्षाओं में सीधे मुहावरों का अर्थ या वाक्य में उनका प्रयोग पूछा जाता है, जहाँ आपको सटीक अर्थ याद होना चाहिए।

An idiom is a phrase whose figurative meaning is completely different from the literal meaning of its individual words. SSC tests direct factual recall of these meanings.

मुख्य सूत्र / नियम | Core Formulas & Rules

• शाब्दिक अर्थ से बचें: मुहावरे का अर्थ कभी भी उसके शब्दों का सीधा अनुवाद नहीं होता।
  Never choose the literal meaning. (Example: "Spill the beans" means to reveal a secret, not dropping actual beans).
• टोन पहचानें (Tone Check): मुहावरे की टोन (सकारात्मक, नकारात्मक या तटस्थ) को समझें और उसी टोन वाला विकल्प चुनें।
  Identify if the idiom has a positive or negative vibe.
• वाक्य का संदर्भ (Context Clues): यदि मुहावरा वाक्य में दिया गया है, तो वाक्य के अर्थ से मुहावरे का अनुमान लगाएँ।
  Use the surrounding sentence to guess the meaning.
