Dice and Paper Folding are among the most scoring topics in SSC. They primarily test finding opposite faces or visualizing the folded shape of an open dice.

मुख्य सूत्र / नियम | Core Formulas & Rules

• एक उभयनिष्ठ फलक नियम (One Common Face Rule): यदि दो पासों में केवल एक फलक समान हो, तो उस समान फलक से दक्षिणावर्त (clockwise) दिशा में घूमें। जो फलक एक ही स्थान पर आते हैं, वे एक-दूसरे के विपरीत होते हैं।
  Trick: Common face से घड़ी की दिशा में घूमें (Clockwise rotation).
• दो उभयनिष्ठ फलक नियम (Two Common Faces Rule): यदि दो पासों में दो फलक समान हों, तो बचे हुए तीसरे फलक हमेशा एक-दूसरे के विपरीत होते हैं।
  Trick: Common को काटो, बचे हुए opposite होंगे।
• खुला पासा नियम (Open Dice Rule): खुले पासे में एक सीधी रेखा में हर एकांतर फलक (alternate face) एक-दूसरे के विपरीत होता है।
  Trick: एक छोड़कर एक (Skip one) हमेशा विपरीत होता है।

Traps & Common Mistakes | जाल और सामान्य गलतियाँ

• Trap: आसन्न फलकों (adjacent faces) को विपरीत मान लेना।
  Why aspirants fall: जल्दबाजी में वे यह भूल जाते हैं कि जो फलक एक साथ दिख रहे हैं, वे कभी विपरीत नहीं हो सकते।
• Trap: Clockwise नियम को गलत दिशा में लगाना।
  Why aspirants fall: एक पासे में clockwise और दूसरे में anti-clockwise घूम जाते हैं, जिससे उत्तर गलत हो जाता है।
• Trap: खुले पासे में Z-pattern को न पहचानना।
  Why aspirants fall: जब सीधी रेखा में 3 बॉक्स नहीं होते, तो एकांतर (alternate) नियम लगाने में गलती करते हैं।
