DGFT Enhances Ease of Doing Business for Leather Exporters

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued a notification removing key procedural restrictions for value-added leather product exports.

This includes lifting port restrictions and dispensing with mandatory CLRI testing for certain leather categories. The measure aims to enhance ease of doing business, reduce compliance burden, and boost India's export competitiveness.
