Department of Posts, Government of India Resumes Booking of international Mail to USA
The Department of Posts resumed full international postal services to the USA on October 15, 2025.
This followed a US Executive Order (July 2025) ending duty-free exemptions for goods under 800 USD, leading to a temporary suspension. New guidelines apply a flat 50% customs duty under the IEEPA tariff, with India Post deploying a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) solution for upfront collection.
