Awareness Session on National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) held in Meerut

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, organized an awareness session on the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) in Meerut on August 2, 2025.

This Central Sector scheme supports economically weaker students for secondary education (Class IX-XII), with Uttar Pradesh holding the largest annual quota of 15,000 scholarships. Officials were instructed to prioritize timely verification of applications on the National Scholarship Portal, which implemented One Time Registration in 2024-25.
