MNRE issues Amendment to RLMM Procedure for Wind Turbines Regarding mandatory Use of Major Wind Turbine Components from Listed Manufacturers

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has introduced significant amendments to its wind turbine manufacturing policy.

The 'Revised List of Models and Manufacturers' (RLMM) has been renamed to 'Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (Wind)' (ALMM-Wind), making the use of specific domestically approved components mandatory. The policy also requires critical R&D and data infrastructure to be located within India to enhance cybersecurity and promote domestic manufacturing.
