CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES UNDER PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA- GRAMIN (PMAY-G)

The Ministry of Rural Development continues implementing Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G), initially launched in 2016, to provide pucca houses in rural areas.

The scheme has been extended from FY 2024-25 to 2028-29, targeting an additional 2 crore houses. Beneficiaries are identified using SECC 2011 and Awaas+ data, with construction progress monitored via the 'AwaasApp' for geo-tagged photo uploads.
