CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES UNDER PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA- GRAMIN (PMAY-G)

The Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), launched in 2016 by the Ministry of Rural Development, aims to provide pucca houses in rural areas.

The scheme, which initially targeted 2.95 crore houses, has been extended until FY 2028-29 for an additional 2 crore houses. Beneficiary identification relies on SECC 2011 and Awaas+ data, with monitoring facilitated by geo-tagged photos uploaded via 'AwaasApp' on 'AwaasSoft'.
