₹8,853 Crore Grants Approved under PMKSY for 1601 Projects Across India

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has approved ₹8,853 crore in grants under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) for 1601 projects nationwide, with a total project cost of ₹30,656.57 crore as of June 30, 2025.

This Central Sector Umbrella scheme focuses on reducing post-harvest losses by establishing food processing and preservation infrastructure, including cold storages and refrigerated vehicles. Notably, 52 projects were approved between January 2024 and June 2025, with one Food Safety and Quality Assurance Infrastructure project in Telangana already operational.
