IMPLEMENTATION OF FRA

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs provided an update in Rajya Sabha on the implementation of the Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006.

It detailed the responsibilities of State Governments, MoTA's monitoring role, and the cumulative progress of community claims till May 2025. The statement also highlighted the constitutional framework for land management and the involvement of other ministries like MoRD, MoEFCC, and MoM in related policies and acts.
