Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister to meet stakeholders on dark patterns

The Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution will hold a high-level meeting on May 28, 2025, to address consumer concerns regarding dark patterns in e-commerce.

The Department of Consumer Affairs has already issued comprehensive guidelines in November 2023, identifying 13 types of deceptive practices, and initiated a hackathon to combat them.
