PARLIAMENT QUESTION: BHARAT FORECAST SYSTEM

The Ministry of Earth Sciences launched Bharat ForecastSystem (BharatFS) on May 26, 2025, for real-time weather forecasting.

Based on the Triangular Cubic Octahedral (TCo) dynamical grid, it operates at a 6 km horizontal resolution, providing highly localized predictions. This system aims to enhance extreme weather accuracy and assist farmers and water authorities with critical data.
