National Commission for Scheduled Tribes on three-day visit to Goa, reviews issues and development of Scheduled Tribes with State government

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) conducted a three-day review in Goa to assess ST issues, highlighting challenges in obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for schemes.

NCST directed the state government to ensure Svamitva land rights for tribal communities and will submit a recommendation report to the President of India.
