NHRC, India takes suo motu cognizance of a journalist's murder by unidentified assailants in Jhajjar district, Haryana

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India, has taken suo motu cognizance of the murder of a journalist in Jhajjar district, Haryana, on May 18, 2025.

The Commission deemed the incident a serious human rights violation and issued a notice to the Director General of Police, Haryana, demanding a detailed investigation report within two weeks.
