Ministry of Education Launches Nationwide Enforcement Drive to Make Educational Institutions Tobacco and Substance-Free

The Ministry of Education has launched a nationwide enforcement drive, led by DoSEL, to ensure educational institutions are free from tobacco and substance abuse.

This initiative follows the 8th NCORD Apex Committee meeting on May 15, 2025, chaired by the Home Affairs Secretary. The drive strengthens the existing Tobacco-Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI) Guidelines, with its implementation manual launched in May 2024, addressing alarming youth tobacco use statistics.
