The Department of Fertilizers highlighted its financial commitment to fertilizer subsidies, allocating over ₹1.77 Lakh Crore in 2024-25.

It emphasized the success of the Direct Benefit Transfer system and the Nutrient Based Subsidy Scheme, which encourages balanced nutrient use. Key measures like Aadhaar authentication, PoS devices, and monthly/seasonal purchase ceilings ensure transparency and curb malpractices, supported by the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
