MoCA celebrates 9th UDAN Anniversary

The Ministry of Civil Aviation celebrated the 9th anniversary of the UDAN scheme, highlighting its success in connecting unserved and underserved regions.

Key achievements include operationalizing 649 routes, disbursing significant Viability Gap Funding, and recent launch of UDAN 5.5 for seaplanes. The scheme is slated to continue beyond April 2027 under an Expanded UDAN Framework, targeting new destinations, especially in hilly and North-Eastern regions.
