PLAN TO EXTEND PM E-DRIVE

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has announced a Rs.

2,000 crore allocation under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India. This initiative targets both urban areas and key inter-city/inter-state highways to make them EV ready. Additionally, the Ministry of Power issued guidelines on September 17, 2024, to encourage private sector participation in setting up public charging stations.
