Support to Farmers for Adopting Quality Standards

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is bolstering support for farmers by implementing schemes like PMKSY, PLISFPI (Central Sector) and PMFME (Centrally Sponsored).

These initiatives provide significant preferential provisions for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), including reduced loan and equity requirements, enhanced grants, and lower minimum project costs. The schemes also mandate specific infrastructure and training to formalize and strengthen the micro food processing sector.
