DoT Slashes Security Test Evaluation Fees up to 95% and Simplifies Compliance Process for Telecom/ICT Sectors
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has reduced security test evaluation fees by up to 95% under the Communication Security Certification Scheme (ComSec), effective August 1, 2025.
This initiative aims to ease compliance and encourage domestic manufacturing in the telecom and ICT sectors, including full exemptions for government R&D institutes until 2028. The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) implements this crucial scheme, which mandates security certification for various telecom equipment.
