Bureau of Indian Standards finds 142 Uncertified Products in E-Commerce Market Surveillance FY 2024–25
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) conducted market surveillance on e-commerce platforms in FY 2024-25, finding 142 uncertified products among 344 samples.
This led to search and seizure operations at 22 e-commerce warehouses for violations of mandatory BIS certification under Quality Control Orders. The action aims to enforce product quality and generate consumer awareness.
