The Ministry of Women and Child Development has extended the special registration drive for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) till August 15, 2025.
This centrally sponsored scheme under Mission Shakti's 'Samarthya' sub-scheme provides financial support of ₹5,000 for the first child and ₹6,000 for the second girl child, aiming to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Implementation uses PMMVYSoft, integrating Aadhaar authentication, DBT, and features like FRS and a helpline.
