NATIONAL SURVEY DATA EXPANSION

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has announced major expansions and reforms for National Sample Survey (NSS) data collection and dissemination.

From January 2025, NSS will generate district-level estimates, and the PLFS sampling design is revamped for high-frequency labour market indicators. A revamped Micro-data portal and the GoIStats Mobile App (launched on Statistics Day 2025) aim to enhance data accessibility.
