Government Launches 'Apna Ghar' Rest Stops for Truck Drivers

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched the 'Apna Ghar' scheme to provide rest stop facilities for truck drivers, enhancing their safety and welfare on long routes.

Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies are establishing these facilities at their highway retail outlets, with 368 facilities and 4611 beds expected by July 1, 2025. The initiative also includes a dedicated mobile app.
