Multi-State Cooperative Societies
The Ministry of Cooperation has established three national-level multi-state cooperative societies focusing on Exports, Organic Produce, and Quality Seeds.
Registered under the MSCS Act, 2002, these societies aim to strengthen the cooperative sector. The Quality Seed society (BBSSL) specifically promotes indigenous seeds, operates under the 'Bharat Beej' brand, and seeks to reduce India's reliance on imported seeds.
