Himalayan clouds carrying toxic metals pose health risks

A new study by Bose Institute (under DST) reveals that clouds in the Himalayas and Western Ghats are transporting toxic heavy metals like Cadmium, Copper, and Zinc from polluted lowlands.

These metals, originating from industrial and traffic emissions, pose significant health risks, including cancer and developmental disorders, with children being 30% more vulnerable than adults.
