Cabinet approves semiconductor manufacturing units in ODISHA, PUNJAB and ANDHRA PRADESH with an outlay of Rs.4600 crore

The Union Cabinet has approved four new semiconductor manufacturing projects under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), bringing the total approved projects to 10 with a cumulative investment of Rs.

1.60 lakh crore. These new units in Odisha, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh, with an outlay of Rs. 4,600 crore, will establish advanced compound semiconductor fabs and packaging facilities, boosting 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' in electronics manufacturing.
