The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, has launched 'Know Your DIGIPIN' and 'Know Your PIN Code' web portals.

These initiatives aim to modernize India's addressing system and geospatial infrastructure, aligning with the National Geospatial Policy 2022. The DIGIPIN system, developed with IIT Hyderabad and ISRO, is an open-source, geo-coded digital address system designed to enhance location accuracy and service delivery.
