TRAI convenes 9th Joint Committee of Regulators (JCoR) on issues of Spam and Cyber Fraud

The 9th Joint Committee of Regulators (JCoR) meeting, convened by TRAI, addressed issues of spam and cyber fraud.

It reviewed the 'Digital Consent Acquisition' pilot project, jointly implemented by TRAI and RBI at 11 banks, expected to complete by February 2026. Discussions included regulatory measures like the 1600-series numbering plan and mandatory whitelisting of links in SMSes.
