Preparations for the First Phase of Census 2027 Completed in Chhattisgarh; Digital Self-Enumeration Option to Begin from April 16

Chhattisgarh has completed preparations for the first phase of Census 2027, which will be India's 16th census and 8th since independence.

Notably, this census will be entirely digital, offering citizens a self-enumeration option via a dedicated portal from April 2026. The process involves two phases: Houselisting in May 2026 and Population Enumeration in February 2027, with data privacy ensured under the Census Act, 1948.
