PRADHAN MANTRI ANNADATA AAY SANRAKSHAN ABHIYAN (PM-AASHA)

Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) is an integrated government scheme designed to ensure remunerative prices for farmers and provide essential commodities to consumers at affordable rates.

It comprises the Price Support Scheme (PSS), which guarantees MSP for certain crops, and the Price Stabilisation Fund (PSF), which manages buffer stocks to control consumer prices. The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare oversees the scheme, with the Department of Consumer Affairs administering PSF.
