The Ministry of Cooperation established the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) under the MSCS Act, 2002, to boost exports from India's cooperative sector.

NCEL facilitates various activities from procurement to marketing and has enrolled over 11,000 member cooperatives. It has achieved significant export volumes, including ₹ 5403.01 crores worth of agricultural commodities, and collaborates internationally, notably with Zambia.
