Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Revises Norms of Assistance to National Sports Federations
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has revised the norms for assisting National Sports Federations (NSFs), necessitated by the new Olympic cycle and India's 2036 Olympic hosting ambition.
Key changes include mandatory budget allocations for grassroots and coach development, and the appointment of Coaching Education Experts. Additionally, NSFs with annual budgets above ₹10 crore must now appoint a High-Performance Director.
