Launch of 'Matri Van' Initiative in Gurugram - a theme-based Urban Forest
Union Ministers launched the 'Matri Van' initiative, a 750-acre theme-based urban forest in Gurugram's Aravalli Hills under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' Programme.
It aims to boost biodiversity and urban sustainability, with multi-stakeholder participation. A Minister also noted India's non-fossil fuel share exceeding 50% in the energy mix.
