India has commenced the development of Electric Hansa (E-Hansa), a two-seater electric trainer aircraft, indigenously by CSIR-NAL Bengaluru.

This initiative is part of the HANSA-3 (NG) program, aiming for a cost-effective solution at around Rs 2 crore, and supports India's green aviation objectives. The broader discussion also emphasized Public-Private Partnerships and technology commercialization.
