Development of Iconic Tourist Centres to Global Scale

The Ministry of Tourism is developing iconic tourist centres through the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.

It has sanctioned 40 projects worth ₹3295.76 Crore with full central funding, emphasizing state-led implementation and private sector encouragement. States must also assess carrying capacity in their project proposals.
