73 Major Stations Facing Rush Situations to Have a Station Director, Empowered to Take “On-the-Spot Decongesting Decisions ” Like Restricting Sale of Tickets as per Capacity & Availability of Trains

The Ministry of Railways has announced measures to manage heavy passenger rush at 73 major stations.

These include empowering Station Directors with on-the-spot decision-making authority, such as restricting ticket sales, and implementing infrastructure improvements like permanent holding areas, access control, and wider FOBs. The plan also involves deploying cameras, war rooms, and advanced communication equipment.
