ELECTRONIC EVIDENCE IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

The Ministry of Home Affairs highlighted various applications like e-Sakshya, e-Summon, and Nyaya-Shruti (VC) to integrate electronic evidence and processes into criminal proceedings.

NCRB has updated CCTNS and launched a mobile app for new criminal laws. These initiatives align with the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, which allows for electronic evidence and mode of trials.
