SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR RESEARCH SCHOLARS

The Ministry of Textiles, through NIFT, supports research in the textile and apparel sectors by providing fellowships for Ph.D.

scholars and promoting industry-based student projects. It also offers a significant scholarship of up to Rs. 2 lakh annually for children of handloom weavers/workers pursuing textile courses. Additionally, the UGC encourages Higher Education Institutions to develop technical textiles curriculum to support the National Technical Textile Mission.
