100 Entities Onboard to use Aadhaar-Based Offline Verification

UIDAI announced a milestone with 100 entities onboarding as Offline Verification Seeking Entities (OVSEs) within three months, enabling secure, consent-based, and paperless Aadhaar verification.

This mechanism utilizes QR codes and digitally signed documents, allowing entities from diverse sectors to verify identity without real-time connectivity to the central database. The initiative aims to enhance privacy, reduce operational friction, and support India's Digital Public Infrastructure vision.
