BIS Conducts Major Raid on FirstCry Warehouse for Alleged Sale of Substandard Products

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) conducted a search operation at a FirstCry warehouse in Bengaluru, seizing products allegedly sold in violation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) and the BIS Act, 2016.

The raid targeted items stored without valid BIS licenses, misusing the ISI mark. BIS highlighted that products under mandatory certification require a valid BIS license for manufacturing, storage, or sale, and encouraged consumers to use the BIS CARE app for verification.
