Inclusion of Emerging Tourism Trends in SDS 2.0

The Ministry of Tourism provided an update on its 'Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0)' scheme, a revamp of the 2014-15 'Swadesh Darshan scheme'.

SD2.0 aims to develop sustainable tourism destinations by incorporating responsible tourism principles and supporting various emerging trends like sub-marine tourism. The ministry also mentioned projects sanctioned under its 'Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD)' sub-scheme and the 'Special Assistance to the States for Capital Investment (SASCI)' scheme.
