Swadesh Darshan 2.0 Scheme

The Ministry of Tourism's original Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS), launched in 2014-15 for thematic tourism circuits, has been revamped into Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0).

SDS sanctioned 76 projects for ₹5290.30 Crore, while SD2.0, focusing on sustainable and destination-centric development, has sanctioned 52 projects worth ₹2108.87 Crore. Additionally, a new sub-scheme, Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD), has sanctioned 36 projects for ₹648.10 Crore, covering rural and border areas.
