India Hosts Successful 8th Session of CCSCH, Finalizes Codex Standards for Vanilla, Coriander, and Large Cardamom

India hosted the 8th Session of the Codex Committee on Spices and Culinary Herbs (CCSCH8) in Guwahati, finalizing new Codex standards for large cardamom, vanilla, and coriander.

Established in 2013 at India's behest and serving as its Secretariat, the CCSCH, operating under the FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius Commission, has now standardized 19 spices to ensure global quality and trade consistency.
