Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) imposes penalty of Rs 10 Lakh on Rapido-online ride hailing platform for misleading advertisement

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) penalized Rapido ₹10 lakh for publishing misleading advertisements and engaging in unfair trade practices.

The CCPA also directed Rapido to reimburse consumers impacted by the 'AUTO IN 5 MIN OR GET ₹50' offer. This action highlights the enforcement of the Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements and Endorsements, 2022.
