NISAR to revolutionize Earth observation with precision, global data access
The NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite, a collaborative mission by NASA and ISRO, has been successfully launched.
It is the world's first Earth observation satellite to carry dual-frequency L-band (NASA) and S-band (ISRO) radars, providing high-resolution, all-weather imagery. Operating in a Sun-synchronous orbit with a five-year mission life, NISAR will deliver crucial data for global climate science, disaster management, and various other Earth applications.
