STATUS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNET/E-PANCHAYAT FACILITY

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is implementing the e-Panchayat Mission Mode Project (MMP) and eGramSwaraj for digital governance in Panchayats, integrated with PFMS for online payments.

Concurrently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is implementing the BharatNet project to provide broadband connectivity to Gram Panchayats, with an amended program approved on August 4, 2023, and a completion target of March 2027.
